The NFL has no interest in doing Devin Hester any favors, so there will be no “Devin Hester rule” passed any time soon. In recent weeks, the league considered legislating against punting out of boundswhich teams did frequently when opposing Hester last season. A survey was sent to head coaches and general managers to get their reaction to such a rule, but the response was overwhelmingly against changing what often is a strategic move to trap an opponent inside his own 20-yard line rather than kicking into the end zone for a touchback. The NFL’s competition committee also had a discussion about enacting a new rule, but it didn’t go very far. — Chicago Tribune

This is funny because every other team will attempt to find another Devin Hester.  Well I’ve got news for you, it’s ain’t gonna happen chief!  And if it does, the owners that voted against this rule will be pissed!

They need to make a Rex Grossman rule, if you suck that bad you can’t be resigned, of course that would mean that half of the Lions would be ineligable.

Half? I would say more like 90% of the Lions and coaching staff would be wearing Kalamazoo Explosion jerseys if this were a rule.

Don’t give them that much credit, they couldn’t make a quadrapalegic semipro team, let alone the Xplosion.
